This new 45 kW liquid-propane stationary standby generator is a fully enclosed, single-phase unit designed to meet the most demanding emergency power specifications for commercial, industrial, and government applications. It is available new — not refurbished, remanufactured, or of foreign counterfeit origin.

Generator

The generator produces 45 kW / 188 amps at 120/240V, single-phase, 60 Hz. The alternator is a brushless, permanent magnet, rotating-field design with four leads configured for 120/240V service. Power factor is 1.0 (exceeding the 0.9 minimum). Voltage regulation is controlled by a solid-state automatic voltage regulator maintaining ±1% from no-load to full load. The unit accepts 100% of rated load in one step. The alternator is self-ventilated and drip-proof, and windings are coated with insulating varnish for moisture and contamination resistance. The generator set is cUL/UL 2200 listed and CSA certified.

Engine

The unit is powered by a Kohler liquid-cooled engine fueled by liquid propane gas. A 1,500-watt, 120-volt AC coolant heater is included for reliable cold-weather starting. The liquid propane fuel system includes a fuel mixer, electronic secondary gas regulator, two gas solenoid valves, and a flexible fuel line between the engine and skid-mounted fuel system components. A dry-type air cleaner and dry exhaust system are standard. The engine features electronic ignition and an electronic isochronous governor for precise frequency regulation. The starting and charging system operates on 12-volt DC with negative ground. A battery, 120-volt AC battery charger, and all necessary battery cabling are included. Automatic shutdown protection is provided for overspeed, overcrank, loss of speed signal, high engine coolant temperature, and low engine oil pressure.

Controller

The generator set is equipped with an LCD screen display and OFF, AUTO, and RUN pushbuttons with corresponding LED mode indicators. The system status display provides continuous readout of generator set status, output voltage and frequency, engine coolant temperature, engine oil pressure, battery voltage, and total engine runtime hours. The controller provides automatic start with a programmed cranking cycle and cooldown cycle. A programmable exerciser allows the unit to be set to start automatically on any future day and time.

Enclosure

The generator is housed in an aluminum, sound-attenuating, weather-tight enclosure with flame-resistant and moisture-repelling insulation. The exterior finish is powder coated in a neutral color. All access panels are lockable. The enclosure is rated to withstand wind loads of at least 180 mph. Sound level does not exceed 65 dB at 25 feet under load. Vibration isolation mounts are included. A GFCI 120-volt AC service outlet is provided. The controller module supports a minimum of two inputs and five outputs.
