Cummins Quiet Connect™ Series 17kW Air-Cooled Standby Generator
The Cummins Quiet Connect™ Series 17kW generator, released in 2017, features an improved design with advanced exercise modes, load management, and monitoring capabilities. Its weather-protective aluminum/steel sound enclosure allows installation within 18 inches of a building, in compliance with NFPA 37 guidelines, subject to local building codes. The generator operates at a quiet 65 dB(A) at 7 meters, thanks to sound-dampening engineering.
Powered by a 999cc Cummins air-cooled V-Twin OHV engine, this generator can run on either natural gas or LP vapor. It includes a low oil pressure shutdown feature for added safety and longevity. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 5%, it delivers clean power, ensuring the safety of your electronic devices.
The patented “Crank Only” exercise mode provides diagnostics without running the engine, reducing wear and fuel costs. Users can select the time, date, and frequency of the exercise. For enhanced functionality, the generator offers load management capability (requires a load management kit, sold separately), which maximizes power usage by intelligently managing up to four electrical loads.
Cummins Connect Cloud enables remote monitoring, allowing you to oversee, exercise, and manually operate the generator via computer, tablet, or phone. The generator is cold weather equipped, performing reliably down to 0°F, with optional cold weather accessories available for even colder conditions (sold separately).
