Kohler Series 7000 V-Twin OHV Engine Standby Generator
The Kohler Series 7000 V-Twin OHV Engine offers powerful and reliable performance with hydraulic valve lifters. It is equipped with PowerBoost™ Technology, providing greater motor-starting ability for large electrical loads and ensuring premium power quality with voltage regulation within ±1%. This feature protects sophisticated electronics with low distortion, maintaining less than 5% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD).
Kohler generators are designed for fast response time, restoring power in as little as 10 seconds when paired with an automatic transfer switch (sold separately). A new silencer reduces sound levels, offering quiet operation at approximately 71 dB(A) max, maintaining a peaceful environment for the neighborhood.
The RDC2 Controller includes ATS status via LED lights on the controller and a built-in 2.5A battery charger. The glare-resistant, 2-line, 16-character display provides clear information with no more codes to interpret. The real-time clock feature allows for easy weekly exercise scheduling.
The generator also includes the OnCue Plus Remote Monitoring System, which has a built-in Ethernet card, eliminating the need for additional hardware. The bold new E-Coat dipped steel enclosure, painted with a durable powder coat finish, minimizes corrosion for enhanced durability.
Important Considerations:
- The automatic transfer switch and Group 51 battery are required for operation but are sold separately.
- This generator is not compatible with off-grid applications and is approved for stationary standby applications in locations served by a reliable utility source
